Butterfly Ballet Class Policy

KINDERBALLET ‘CHERUBS’ 1.5- 2.5 YEAR OLDS & ‘MUMMY & ME’ 2- 3.5 YEAR OLDS

During ‘Cherubs’ & ‘Mummy and Me’ classes, 1 parent/carer is fully responsible for assisting child during the entirety of each lesson. No extra people in the class during the term please (aside from siblings/babies or a special request, organised with the teacher prior.) On the final day of Term 1, 2 & 3 we hold a ‘Watching Class.’ This is special occasion where you may invite friends & family to sit in and view the class. The final day of term of Term 4 is ‘Presentation Class’. You will be charged an extra fee to attend the ‘Presentation Class’ which includes a costume for the student and admission for 4 guests. ‘Presentation Class’ is optional, so if you prefer, you can select to skip the additional fee and simply pay for Term 4 minus this final ‘Presentation Class.’
The parent/carer is required to participate with child during ‘Watching Class’ & ‘Presentation Class’, as per normal. Photo taking is reserved for ‘Watching Class’ & ‘Presentation Class’ only. Filming is not permitted during the Term and is reserved for Term 4 ‘Presentation Class’ only.

KINDERBALLET ‘TOTS’ 3.5 – 5 YEAR OLDS & ‘KIDDIES’ 4 – 5 YEAR OLDS

During the term, it is required that parents wait in the nearby waiting area outside the activity room, for the duration of the class. Parents are not permitted to wait inside the classroom during the term (aside from First Trial Class, ‘Watching Class’, ‘Presentation Class’, or a special request, organised with the teacher prior. On the final day of Term 1, 2 & 3 we hold a ‘Watching Class.’ This is special occasion where you may invite friends & family to sit in and view the class. Should your child need to go to the toilet during the lesson, if you are uncomfortable with another parent taking them, please do not leave the venue. If you are not there, the teacher has no choice but to ask the parent of another student to accompany your child to the toilet.

KINDERBALLET ‘NEXT STEPS’ BALLET 5 – 7 YEAR OLDS

During the term, it is required that parents wait in the nearby waiting area outside the activity room, for the duration of the class. Parents are not permitted to wait inside the classroom during the term (aside from First Trial Class or a special request, organised with the teacher prior.)
There is a ‘Watching Class’ for ‘Next Steps’ ballet students at the end of Term 2 & Term 4.

Payment and Tuition Information:

Term fees are due by the date indicated on your invoice. If a student is undertaking their 1st Trial of a Kinderballet ‘Tots’/’Kiddies’/’Next Steps’ your fees must be settled after the 1st Trial Class, prior to the 2nd class. Enrolment in a class is not guaranteed until fees have been received. Classes are not offered on a casual basis. Teachers cannot accept cash payments under any circumstances. Fees must be settled directly with Butterfly Ballet. Please note that classes are a termly commitment and no refunds are given for missed classes. If a student misses a class they are welcome to do a replacement make-up class at another venue at any point during the same term (numbers permitting), aside from ‘Watching Class’ or ‘Presentation Class’. Credit from a missed class cannot be transferred over to the next term. Please be advised, if your child misses a class, it is the parent/carer’s responsibility to organise a replacement make-up class with Butterfly Ballet via phone or email, prior to the class.
Payments may be made via direct bank deposit or credit card payment. Payment instructions are included in your invoice, sent via email. For new ‘Tots,’ ‘Kiddies’, & ‘Next Steps’ students who wish to enrol after the 1st Trial Class, the parent/carer will receive an invoice from Butterfly Ballet after this class, via email. For new ‘Cherubs’ & ‘Mummy & Me’ students who are signing up to a 3 Class Trial package, fees are due before your 1st trial class and an invoice will be sent via email before commencement.

Multi Class Discount: Students who are enrolled in more than 1 class per week will receive a 10% discount off the total term fees for all classes.
Sibling Discount: 2 or more students enrolled in classes will receive a 10% family discount off the total term fees for all students.
*10% Sibling Discount available per student once both students have completed all trials and enrolled for the remainder of the term. Your discount adjustment will be applied on the final invoice of the term.

All overdue invoices will incur a $15 late payment fee. One reminder email will be sent before this fee will be added to your invoice. Full payment, including the late payment fee will be required to continue with the classes.

Once enrolled, classes will roll over to the next term on an ongoing basis. If you would like to discontinue classes, please send us an email to let us know.

Medical:

Open wounds must be covered with a bandage or patch at all times. If your child is unwell with a contagious illness, please do not bring them to class, even if you’re uncertain about whether it is contagious or not.
It is the parent/carer’s responsibility to tell the teacher if they know (or suspect) that their child has a contagious illness. It is essential that parents clearly communicate with our teachers so that we can ensure the well being of all students.

Parent/Carer Responsibility

During the term, it is required that parents wait in the nearby waiting area outside the activity room, for the duration of the class. Butterfly Ballet does not offer a child care facility. For this reason, the parent/carer must remain available for the duration of the class in the event of an incident with their child.

Enrolment Agreement

By participating in any paid or trial classes offered by Butterfly Ballet:

You agree to be bound by, and to comply with, its terms.
You agree to pay the appropriate fees on time.
You agree to notify Butterfly Ballet of any existing medical conditions or behavioural concerns your child may have.
You have read and agree to all of the above information
